Day 1.

Take part in an authentic 4-course private cooking class that allows you to make a delicious Italian meal inside a gorgeous 17th-century palazzo. Visit a bustling Roman food market to select fresh ingredients for your dishes and enjoy a glass of local wine while learning helpful cooking tips.

After meeting your guide, head to a nearby Roman market that offers a wide variety of fresh fish, produce, and spices to choose from. Sample food from local vendors as you gain inspiration on what to cook based on the ingredients you find here. Leave the market and make your way to a gorgeous 17th-century palazzo that is covered with brightly coloured frescoes.

Day 2.

The 60-minute drive between the port and Rome’s historical centre flies by in the comfort of a luxury vehicle as your private driver shows you the very best of the city and gets you back to your ship in plenty of time for your cruise departure.

Your first stop is at the Vatican Museums. Marvel at the opulent collection of masterpieces by da Vinci and Raphael and admire the breathtaking frescoes of the Sistine Chapel. Enter through the gates of St. Peter’s Basilica, “La Pietà” by Michelangelo – one of the finest examples of Renaissance sculpture – is waiting for you.

Day 3.

Enjoy the views over Rome from Capitoline Hill, and feel part of the lively atmosphere of the Spanish Steps. Continue to the Colosseum to find yourself back in the times of the gladiators as you hear tales of blood-soaked fights watched by thousands of spectators. From here you return to your ship for the next leg of your cruise.

Check out the unusual assortment of anthropological items on exhibition at Capitoline Museum. It’s guaranteed to be a fun and educational excursion for the entire family! Travelers in this destination have a great range of options. Choose a comfortable vantage point and observe the world roll by at Piazza Venezia. Find out when Sunday Mass is held at Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore. When you’re there, take a few minutes to bow your head and lose yourself in silent prayer.
